RECENT FORM VS. NEW YORK CITY FC

The Revs and NYCFC have a very even history, but in recent years New York City have had the upper hand. Prior to last April's home win, the Revs had gone five games winless (0-3-2) against NYCFC, including three straight losses. NYCFC travel to Foxborough where they fell in their most recent meeting with New England, and arrive to a Gillette Stadium where the Revs have found 25 of their 33 points this season.

NYCFC have been busy since returning from the FIFA World Cup break, balancing MLS play and Leagues Cup action. While they took back-to-back Leagues Cup losses this month, they've gone 2-2-1 in regular season games since the break. They head to Foxborough on the tail of a 2-1 loss at FC Cincinnati.

New England have had mixed results since returning from the World Cup (2-2-2), but return to Gillette Stadium after finding their second road victory of the season. The Revs took down D.C. United with an emphatic 3-0 win, thanks to midfielder Alhassan Yusuf who bagged the first hat trick of his MLS career.

Sunday afternoon's match marks the last home game for New England until September 19, as they'll hit the road for the next four games.

Overall Record vs. NYCFC: 11-11-8

SHOW YOUR COLORS

The Revolution will sport the "Independence Day" kit on Sunday afternoon. Released at the start of the 2026 season, it will serve as the team's Club Kit through the 2026-27 campaigns.

Honoring 250 years of American Independence, the kit pays homage to the New England history which helped shape the country. The bold design leans into the themes of celebration, inspired by the classic patriotic bunting and the fireworks displays that have been lighting up New England skies for a quarter Millenium. With the Heritage Tree on the shirtfront and "Est. 1776" on the collar, the kit embodies New England pride.

The Independence Day jersey is paired with navy shorts adorned by three red stripes down each side. The red, white, and blue socks also sport the Revolution seal across the shins.

You can purchase your "Independence Day" kit HERE.
