RECENT FORM VS. D.C. UNITED

One of New England's most historic rivals dating back to the start of MLS in 1996, D.C. and the Revs have a long and storied past. As part of the previous 90 meetings between these longtime foes, they've met in the playoffs five times, while there have been five additional clashes in the U.S. Open Cup.

New England have held the upper hand in the recent regular-season series, going unbeaten in seven straight games since 2019 (4-0-3), including victories in the four most recent contests. In their latest meeting in New England’s home opener this past April, the Revs were able to grind out a 1-0 victory at Gillette Stadium, which was the squad’s first triumph in their league-leading 7-1-1 home record.

D.C. United is coming off a 5-2 road loss to Nashville SC and sit at 6th place in the East going 8-8-3 (27 pts.), which is 16 points back of New England with a game in hand. However, D.C. has gone 3-1-2 in their last six matches, with a total of eight goals scored in their last three games.

The Revs will return to Gillette Stadium with their own red-hot seven-game unbeaten streak (6-0-1) after a dramatic 2-1 win north of the border at Toronto FC. Tajon Buchanan’s impressive aerial abilities to craftily guide in a header put the Revs ahead early, and after Jonathan Osorio equalized, Gustavo Bou silenced the crowd with his game winner from the penalty spot.

As the Revs look to keep rolling with their current 12-point lead in the East and six-point buffer atop the Supporters' Shield standings, this will be a heated match you won’t want to miss.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS MASSACHUSETTS INITIATIVES

The New England Revolution are proud to partner with Arbella Insurance on the 2021 Special Olympics Unified season. With last season’s Unified program limited to virtual interaction, the club is thrilled to announce the return of in-person programming for the New England Revolution Unified Team, who signed their official contracts in mid-August to officially become part of the club.

Prior to kickoff against D.C. United, there will be a special on-field presentation at 6:45 p.m. when representatives from the Revs and Arbella Insurance will present Special Olympics Massachusetts with a check for $35,000. Please be sure to make your way to your seats for this and give a round of applause during the presentation.

The official Special Olympics Unified Match will take place a month later on Saturday, September 18, 2021, directly following the first team’s match against Columbus. All Revolution fans are encouraged to stay to support the Special Olympics Massachusetts team to cheer them on during their game.

CAMO PRE-MATCH JERSEY

The Camo jersey is a tribute to sacrifice. Revolution players wear this adidas pre-match jersey to share their appreciation for the U.S. Armed Forces with a sleek camouflage design that makes a statement. While these jerseys will not be worn during on-field warm ups, each player will have their very own, and you can too by purchasing at the Gillette Stadium Pro Shop. Hurry though! These tops will go quickly and have already sold out online.

SHOW YOUR COLORS

The Revs will be sporting "The Original," New England's primary kit designed as a nod to the club's original 1996 look. The sleek white stripe across the jersey echoes the angled stripes across the '96 kit, while the blue top is complemented by red shorts similar to those worn by the Revolution's first-ever squad.
