Tajon Buchanan's homecoming produced a goal, a New England Revolution win, and now a spot on the MLS Team of the Week presented by Audi.

Buchanan, a native of Brampton, Ontario - just about 30 minutes outside Toronto - scored the Revs' opening goal on Saturday night at BMO Field, where he was playing in front of almost 100 friends and family. The 22-year-old midfielder rose above his defender and headed home DeJuan Jones' left-wing cross, pushing the visitors in front en route to an eventual 2-1 victory over TFC.

With career highs in both goals (4) and assists (3) this season, Buchanan continues to build off his standout performance with the Canadian National Team at the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup.

The Revs will play a pair of home games this week - Wednesday evening against D.C. United and Saturday night vs. FC Cincinnati - before Buchanan departs for the 2021 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target, set for Wednesday, August 25, at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles. The MLS side - which also includes Gustavo Bou, Carles Gil, and Matt Turner - will take on the LIGA BBVA MX All-Star Team.
