There will be no Revolution Pregame Live show before Saturday's game. However, your favorite New England duo will be back with a live show before kickoff at the Chicago Fire on Wednesday, September 22.
RECENT FORM VS. COLUMBUS CREW
The New England Revolution and Columbus Crew will square off on Saturday night in a showdown sponsored by Mass General Brigham. This will be the 85th overall meeting in all competitions between these sides.
These two original 1996 MLS clubs have a storied history that includes eight postseason meetings, most recently highlighted by last year’s clash in the Eastern Conference Final at Historic Crew Stadium. The Revs fell to the hosts, 1-0, and Columbus went on to be crowned the 2020 MLS Cup champions.
However, New England has since gone unbeaten against Columbus, playing twice this year and going 1-0-1. New England claimed a dramatic 1-0 victory over Columbus in May with a late game winner off the bench from Adam Buksa, and the two sides played to a 2-2 draw to open Columbus' new digs, Lower.com Field, in July.
The Crew sits at 9th place in the East (8-11-6) with 30 points. Columbus has won just twice in their last 10 matches, going 2-8-0 in that stretch, but they did claim a 2-1 win over the New York Red Bulls on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, the Revs still reign supreme atop the Supporters' Shield standings with a 10-point lead, and have a 14-point advantage in the Eastern Conference. The Revs added to their league-leading 17-4-4 record over the weekend with a 2-1 win over New York City FC.
As New England looks towards the postseason with only nine games left on the schedule and aims to finish atop the East to lock up a first-round bye, this will be a match that you won’t want to miss.
Overall Record vs. Crew: 24-38-14
Home Record vs. Crew: 16-17-6
Last Meeting at Gillette Stadium: Revs 1, Crew 0 (May 16, 2021)
Last Meeting at Lower.com Field: Revs 2, Crew 2 (July 3, 2021)

CONCUSSION AWARENESS NIGHT
Saturday's match against Columbus - sponsored by Mass General Brigham - will be New England's annual Concussion Awareness Night in partnership with former Revolution forward Taylor Twellman's foundation, "ThinkTaylor," which has a mission to create social change with regard to traumatic brain injuries.
Since Twellman's playing career was ended prematurely by a concussion he has dedicated an enormous effort to emphasizing awareness, rehabilitation, and education regarding head injuries to create a safer and smarter sports culture for all athletes, encompassing youth and professionals alike.
Twellman invites you to sport the color orange in addition to your Revs gear on Saturday, and take his #TTPledge about concussion awareness at halftime. There will also be ThinkTaylor Cheer Cards to use for a stadium "Orange Out" that Twellman invites you to participate in during the 20th minute.
SPECIAL OLYMPICS MASSACHUSETTS UNIFIED MATCH
The New England Revolution are proud to partner with Arbella Insurance on the 2021 Special Olympics Unified season. With last season’s Unified program limited to virtual interaction, the club is thrilled to finally have the return of in-person programming for the New England Revolution Unified Team for their Unified Match on September 18.
The official Special Olympics Unified Match will take place directly following the first team’s match against Columbus, with the Special Olympians squaring off against the Andover Stars Unified Team. All Revolution fans are encouraged to stay at Gillette Stadium to support the Special Olympics Massachusetts team and cheer them on during their game.
SALUTE TO HEROES GAME-WORN JERSEY AUCTION
As part of New England’s Salute to Heroes night, Revolution players wore jerseys which featured special patches to honor active and retired Military service members and first responders, as well as American-themed numbers during their match on Saturday, September 11. Now is your chance to bid on these one-of-kind Revolution jerseys. All proceeds from the jersey auction will benefit USO New England and Tuesday's Children.
BACK TO SCHOOL WITH THE REVS
You can help Teal Bunbury with his third annual 'Back to School with the Revs' initiative by donating to help those in need for school supplies and clothes for the upcoming year. Last year, the New England community raised $12,000 to help 40 families have $300 each to shop for supplies at Target. This year, Teal challenges the community to raise $15,000. You can learn more and donate through his tweet below.
KICK CHILDHOOD CANCER PRE-MATCH JERSEYS
As part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September, the Revs have partnered with MLS WORKS on several initiatives to raise awareness and funds in the battle against childhood cancer.
In recognition of these efforts, the Revs will wear special gold-themed warm-up shirts before all matches in September to symbolize their unity towards kicking childhood cancer.
The Revolution's official 'Kick Childhood Cancer' match will be on September 25 against Orlando City SC. You will also notice gold-themed elements including soccer balls, corner flags, captain’s armband and more throughout the stadium throughout the entire month, as well as during the ‘Kick Childhood Cancer’ match.
SHOW YOUR COLORS
The Revs will be sporting "The Original," New England's primary kit designed as a nod to the club's original 1996 look. The sleek white stripe across the jersey echoes the angled stripes across the '96 kit, while the blue top is complemented by red shorts similar to those worn by the Revolution's first-ever squad.
