RECENT FORM VS. PHILADELPHIA UNION
This will be the 36th meeting between the New England Revolution and Philadelphia Union in all competitions, and the last of three meetings in the 2021 regular season.
These two sides first met back in May at Subaru Park, where they played to a 1-1 draw. However, less than a month ago these foes battled at Gillette Stadium, where the hosts took down the Union, 2-1. Matt Polster opened the scoring in the 10th minute with his first-ever Revolution goal, combining with Tommy McNamara. While Philadelphia’s Paxten Aaronson equalized in the 31st minute, striker Gustavo Bou responded with the game-winning goal eight minutes later to lock up the win for New England.
Philadelphia will host the Revs following a 3-1 loss at D.C. United. Philly has gone 1-1-1 in their last three regular season games, and more broadly 3-3-3 in their last nine. The Union sit at 5th place in the East with 32 points.
Meanwhile, the Revs are coming off a 2-0 road loss at New York City FC, which snapped their nine-game unbeaten run. However, New England still sit atop the league with 49 points, and lead the East with a 14-point advantage.
Both sides will be missing several key players to international duty, including New England's Matt Turner, Adam Buksa, and Tajon Buchanan, as well as seven Philadelphia players.
As the Revs look to bounce back from their loss at NYCFC and continue their reign atop the league, this will be a Friday night showdown that you won’t want to miss.

KICK CHILDHOOD CANCER PRE-MATCH JERSEYS
As part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September, the Revs will partner with MLS WORKS on several initiatives to raise awareness and funds in the battle against childhood cancer.
In recognition of these efforts, the Revs will wear special gold-themed warm-up shirts before all matches in September to symbolize their unity towards kicking childhood cancer.
The Revolution's official 'Kick Childhood Cancer' match will be on September 25, 2021 against Orlando City SC.
SHOW YOUR COLORS
The Revs will be sporting their sleek new kits, which take inspiration from the block work of American Revolution Era war forts in the New England area. This kit also pays homage to The Fort - the club's dedicated supporters' sections at Gillette Stadium - and features a fort-inspired blocked white shirt with a monochromatic Revolution logo, white shorts, and sky-blue socks.
