REVOLUTION PREGAME LIVE
Wednesday, September 29 | 3 p.m.
Elizabeth Pehota and Jeff Lemieux will break down all the major storylines on Revolution Pregame Live, available live at 3 p.m. ahead of Wednesday night's battle at CF Montréal on the Revolution’s official Facebook and YouTube channels, as well as www.revolutionsoccer.net.
RECENT FORM VS. CF MONTRÉAL
This will be the 28th overall meeting in all competitions between the New England Revolution and CF Montréal (formerly the Montreal Impact), and their second and final battle of the 2021 regular season.
These two sides met five times in 2020, and the Revolution won four straight after dropping the season opener in Montréal. That includes three triumphs during the regular season, as well as a 2-1 victory in last year’s MLS Cup Playoffs Play-In Round, as the Revs were en route to their impressive run to the Eastern Conference Final.
Their only battle of the 2021 campaign thus far was at Gillette Stadium in July, when the Revs took down the Canadian side 2-1 thanks to a brace from Gustavo Bou.
Montréal sits right above the playoff line at seventh place in the East going 10-9-7 through 26 games. While they are coming off a 2-1 loss at the Columbus Crew, they were 4-1-2 in their previous seven games with 12 goals scored in that span. Montréal has also been very strong at Stade Saputo in their six games north of the border, dropping only one game since returning home (4-1-1).
Luckily, the Revs have been road warriors with their East-leading record away from home, going 8-3-3. New England will look to build upon their 14-point lead in the Supporters' Shield race and 17-point lead in the East. The Revs are also the only team in MLS to have punched their ticket to the MLS Cup Playoffs and have secured at least one guaranteed game at Gillette Stadium with still six regular season games remaining.
As the Revs look to further cement their place atop the Supporters' Shield standings (62 points) with a win against CF Montréal, this is a must-see match.
Overall record vs. Montréal: 13-10-3
Road record vs. Montréal: 5-6-2
Last meeting at Gillette Stadium: Revs 2, Montréal 1 (July 25, 2021)
Last meeting at CF Montréal (Red Bull Arena): Revs 3, Montréal 2 (October 14, 2020)

KICK CHILDHOOD CANCER
As part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September, the Revs have partnered with MLS WORKS on several initiatives to raise awareness and funds in the battle against childhood cancer.
In recognition of these efforts, the Revs will wear special gold-themed warm-up shirts before all matches in September to symbolize their unity towards kicking childhood cancer.
You will also notice gold-themed elements including soccer balls, corner flags, captain’s armband and more throughout the stadium. The Revolution's official 'Kick Childhood Cancer' match took place on September 25 against Orlando City SC, with several special initiatives including with the ‘Hero of the Match’ Ann McCoy from Maddie’s Promise and young pediatric cancer patient and ‘Honorary Captain’ Malia Jusczyk.
SHOW YOUR COLORS
The Revs will be sporting their sleek secondary kits, which take inspiration from the block work of American Revolution Era war forts in the New England area. This kit also pays homage to The Fort - the club's dedicated supporters' sections at Gillette Stadium - and features a fort-inspired blocked white shirt with a monochromatic Revolution logo, white shorts, and sky-blue socks.
You can own "The Fort" community kit by visiting the Gillette Stadium Pro Shop, or clicking HERE.
