Hey Junior Revs!
The Revs had an action-packed month on the pitch! The club played six matches this month and remained steady at fourth in the Eastern Conference. This month’s matches were highlighted by Alhassan Yusuf’s hat trick in the Revs 3-0 win against D.C. United! This was the Revolution’s first MLS hat trick since 2017. This match was also the MLS debut for Revolution II midfielder Judah Siqueira. The Easton, Massachusetts native entered the match as a substitute in the second half to mark his debut with his hometown club.
The Revs had an eventful August off the pitch, as well. The club acquired central defender Tylon Smith on loan from Queens Park Rangers F.C. This past month was also our 9th annual Bowl for a Goal presented by Arbella Insurance, where the Revs Foundation raised $145,000 for Special Olympics Massachusetts! The Foundation has now raised more than $840,000 to date for Special Olympics Massachusetts through Bowl for a Goal.
Looking ahead to what the fall has in store, we have an action packed next few home matches at Gillette! On September 19, the Revs take on Orlando City SC for Noche Latina e Hispana. Enjoy a celebration of Latin and Hispanic culture at our annual Noche Latina e Hispana! Look forward to exciting festivities, unique activities, and a great atmosphere throughout the Fan Zone and stadium, along with an exclusive Noche Latina e Hispana scarf. In addition, the Revs will host New England Amputee Soccer for their annual exhibition following the conclusion of the first team’s match.
Then on October 10, join us for our first ever Marvel Night when the Revs host Seattle Sounders FC! Marvel Night will feature a special Slyde bobblehead inspired by Captain America gate giveaway, in addition to complimentary “Spidey and his Amazing Friends” comic books courtesy of Marvel. Fans are encouraged to cosplay as their favorite Marvel characters at the stadium, where they will enjoy Marvel-themed music, games, trivia, and special activations in the Fan Zone, including face painting and photo opportunities. On the pitch, the Revolution players’ jerseys will feature Marvel-themed numbers on the back. Reserve your Marvel-inspired Slyde bobblehead and a special Marvel-themed Revolution scarf in advance by purchasing a Marvel Night ticket package here.
And on October 17, the New England Revolution enter the wizarding world, hosting the first Harry Potter™ Night at Gillette Stadium when we welcome Chicago Fire FC. Whether you belong to Gryffindor™, Hufflepuff™, Ravenclaw™ or Slytherin™, you can enjoy a Hogwarts™ house scarf of your choosing and a seat to the match with a special Harry Potter™ Night ticket package. Come dressed as your favorite witch or wizard and show your Hogwarts™ House pride! Fan Zone will feature Harry Potter™ Night-themed music, games, trivia, and exclusive photo opportunities. Boston Quadball will be on hand to demonstrate the unique game, a hybrid of quidditch that incorporates rugby, basketball, and dodgeball. At halftime, Boston Quadball will play an exhibition game on the Gillette Stadium pitch. Don’t miss out on this magical night!
