Hello, Junior Revs!
We hope you're enjoying this summer as much as I am! We had some thrilling matches that kept us on the edge of our seats! On July 12, we had a 2-1 win against Atlanta United FC. The energy in the stadium was electric, and your cheers spurred our players to victory! Just a few days later, we faced D.C. United in an action-packed match that ended with a huge 4-0 win. We closed out the month on a high note with a dominant 5-1 victory against Club Atlético de San Luis in the first round of Leagues Cup.
Get ready for more thrilling matches at home this month! On Aug. 3, we will face off against Atlas F.C. in the Leagues Cup round of 32. Should the Revs keep winning, then more matches will come in Leagues Cup play! The home regular season matches return on Aug. 30 when we'll be taking on New York Red Bulls. It will also be Junior Revs and Mascot Night! Personally, it’s one of my favorite nights of the year! It's sure to be an exciting match, and we can't wait to see you there, cheering on the team!
We also have some exciting news to share about new signings that will strengthen our team even further. We are thrilled to announce the signing of American midfielder Ian Harkes. Formerly playing for Dundee United in Scotland, Harkes brings immense talent and experience to the team and has been signed with a two-year club option for 2024 and 2025. In another exhilarating move, we have acquired Argentinian forward Tomás Chancalay on loan from Racing Club. We have options to purchase or extend the loan through June 2024, and we can't wait to see him showcase his skills on the field. Adding even more depth to our squad, we've acquired midfielder Mark-Anthony Kaye in a trade with Toronto FC. The former MLS All-Star and Canada Men’s National Team regular will make a significant impact on our team during his sixth MLS season.
