Happy April Junior Revs!
The 2024 New England Revolution season is underway! The team is still finding their way into the MLS regular season with close home matches against Toronto FC, FC Cincinnati, and Chicago Fire FC. But a 4-0 in the first leg against Costa Rican side L.D. Alajuelense was enough to power the Revolution through the second leg and into the quarterfinal of Concacaf Champions Cup! Next up, we’re taking on Mexican side, Club America, at Gillette Stadium on April 2 at 9:00 p.m., before playing the second leg in Mexico City on April 9.
This month we also have some exciting MLS matches, too! First, we have a home match that’s kicks off at 7:30 p.m. against Charlotte FC on April 6, before a series of away matches against NYCFC and Toronto FC. Finally, a big match against Inter Miami CF on April 27 will see their star-studded lineup, including Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, Luis Suarez, and the 8-time Balon D’or winner, Lionel Messi, come to Foxborough! We’re going to need everyone there to be loud and help us defend The Fort. I hope to see you all there!
On the virtual pitch, Revolution eMLS Pro, João Afonso “JAFONSO” Vasconcelos, captured the eMLS Cup title! This was after claiming the eMLS League Series 2 crown. Jafonso will now await the EA Sports FC Pro World Championship that will be held later this summer. Congrats, Jafonso!
Just a reminder, to check in at the Junior Revs tent in the Fan Zone on your way into the stadium for each home match. We’re out there until kick off so there’s plenty of time to stop by! If you miss us, you can check in at any of the guest services locations on the concourse. Don’t forget, the more matches you attend and check in for, the better the prize at the end of the year!
