Shortly after Peyton Miller took the pitch with the Revolution for the final time this season in Philadelphia last month, he headed to Chile to represent the United States at the FIFA U-20 World Cup. Competing with the U.S. U-20 Men’s National Team, Miller helped the Stars and Stripes finish atop their group, and now prepares for the knockout rounds.
Miller, who plays a more attacking role with the U-20s, logged minutes in all three group stage matches. He made his tournament debut in the 58th minute of the opener, helping the team secure a commanding 9-1 victory over New Caledonia. In the second group stage match, Miller earned a spot in the starting lineup and played 62 minutes as the U.S. secured a crucial 3–0 win over France. He came off the bench again in the group finale against South Africa, entering in the 72nd minute, though the team ultimately fell, 2–1.
Despite the loss, the U.S. finished group play with a 2-1-0 record (6 pts.), securing the top spot in Group E. Miller and his American teammates will continue their World Cup campaign on Thursday, October 9, when they face Italy in the Round of 16. With the knockout stage underway, every match is now a must win.

Going into Thursday’s match, the United States have scored a whopping 13 goals and have only conceded three times – giving them the largest positive goal differential (+10) amongst the competition’s remaining teams.

Miller isn’t the only Revolution player representing his country this week, as New England takes a bye week in lieu of the October FIFA international window.
Forward Dor Turgeman, who recently became the first player in Revolution history to score in each of his first two appearances, has joined his native Israel, as they take on Norway and Italy on their quest for FIFA World Cup qualification. Allan Oyirwoth has been called up by Uganda for two key qualifiers against Botswana and Algeria. Midfielder Alhassan Yusuf will represent Nigeria in key CAF qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin, while Mamadou Fofana has joined Mali’s national team, despite the squad being mathematically eliminated from topping their group.
Meanwhile, Revolution teammates Matt Turner and Leo Campana will be opponents when the United States takes on Ecuador in a friendly on Friday night, while Homegrown midfielder Eric Klein has joined a different U.S. Under-20 group for a training camp in Spain.
Following the break, the Revolution will return to action on October 18 at Gillette Stadium to close out the 2025 season. With several players bringing momentum back from their time abroad, New England will look to end the season strong.
