Tierney, 28, drew this week’s nomination for his 57th-minute free kick to push the Revs’ advantage to 4-1 in the second half. With the free kick awarded just outside the Philadelphia 18-yard-box, Tierney ripped his left-footed, curling shot around the Union wall and beat an outstretched Zac MacMath who was diving to his right. Earlier this season, Tierney topped Opta’s list of most accurate free-kick takers since 2011, which was published by mlssoccer.com early in 2014. | WATCH TIERNEY’S GOAL HERE

Knighton, 29, earned this week’s nomination for his 70th-minute stop on Philadelphia’s Raymon Gaddis’ shot from distance. Gaddis unleashed a right-footed shot from about 35-yards out that was heading towards the upper-90. Knighton extended fully to his right and got his right hand on the shot and deflected it wide and out of play. Knighton made four saves in the match, but his save in the 70th-minute kept his team comfortably ahead at 5-1. Saturday marked his first start of the season, and his first with the Revs since 2009. | WATCH KNIGHTON’S SAVE HERE
