FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution host the New York Red Bulls tonight for an 8:00 p.m. ET kickoff at Gillette Stadium. Pregame coverage starts at 7:30 p.m. with “Revolution Kickoff” on TV38. The match airs locally on WSBK-TV38 and myRITV,  well as on the radio at 98.5 The Sports Hub HD2 and WBIX 1260 AM Nossa Radio USA. The match is also available on ESPN+ for out-of-market viewers.

  • The Revolution will start the night with two changes from last weekend’s match against Columbus. Wilfrid Kaptoum and Tajon Buchanan start in place of Maciel and Teal Bunbury, respectively.
  • Wilfrid Kaptoum makes his second start in a Revolution uniform and his fifth appearance of the season. The 24-year-old midfielder last appeared in New England’s Starting XI in the club’s home opener on April 24, helping the Revolution to a 1-0 win over D.C. United.
  • The defensive backline of DeJuan Jones, Andrew Farrell, Jon Bell, and Brandon Bye starts together for the third consecutive match after guiding the Revolution to their second clean sheet of the season last weekend. New England has not conceded a goal from open play in all 270 minutes played at Gillette Stadium this season.
  • Andrew Farrell registers his 246th appearance in a Revolution uniform tonight to match Chris Tierney for fourth on the club’s all-time games played list. Farrell is one of three Revolution players to play every minute this season, alongside Matt Turner and Carles Gil.
  • Carles Gil entered the weekend as the MLS leader chances created (29), big chances created (7), and chances created from set play (15). Gil, the team leader in assists (3), has factored into four of New England’s six goals scored this season.
  • Gustavo Bou registers his second straight start and his fifth of the 2021 season. Bou, who owns one goal and one assist in 2021, has scored twice in two career games against the Red Bulls.
  • Tajon Buchanan returns to the Starting XI after a 22-minute shift off the bench in last weekend’s victory. Buchanan has appeared in every game this season and remains one of two Revolution players to play in every contest since 2020 alongside Adam Buksa. Buchanan is tied with Gil for the team lead in fouls won (18), which ranks fifth in MLS.
  • Arnór Traustason collects his sixth consecutive start at left midfield. The 28-year-old Icelandic winger, still looking for his first goal in MLS, has logged five shots on goal.
  • Matt Polster continues to appear in every game this season and will make his sixth start tonight. The 27-year-old central midfielder owns one goal in seven career games against tonight’s visitors.
  • Brandon Bye, who has one goal and one assist in 2021, makes his 70th MLS start tonight. The right back delivered the primary assist on Adam Buksa’s game-winning tally against the Crew.
  • Jon Bell made his MLS debut on May 12 and will make his third consecutive start in central defense tonight. The 23-year-old led the Revs in tackles (3) and interceptions (2) in last weekend’s shutout win.
  • Matt Turner carries a 1-2-2 all-time record in league play against the Red Bulls. The Park Ridge, New Jersey native has logged two clean sheets this season, one off the league lead.

  • Adam Buksa became the first Revolution substitute to score in 2021 when he notched the game winner in the 86th minute, three minutes after coming into the match. Buksa leads New England in goals (2), shots on goal (6) and shots (18) this season. His next appearance will be his 30th in MLS.
  • Teal Bunbury returns to the bench after starting against the Crew last Sunday. The 12th-year forward leads the Revolution roster with four goals and five assists in 20 career games played against the Red Bulls.
  • Tommy McNamara has played in every game this season, including two starts. The West Nyack, New York native’s next appearances will be his 150th in MLS regular season play. McNamara owns two goals in 11 career games played against New York.
  • Edward Kizza has appeared on New England’s matchday roster in all seven contests this season. New England’s first-round selection in the 2021 SuperDraft, the University of Pittsburgh product has logged three appearances this season, but is still looking for his Gillette Stadium debut.
  • Henry Kessler, a New York City native and one-time member of the Red Bulls Academy, is available off the bench for the third straight game.
  • Emmanuel Boateng returns to the matchday roster. The 27-year-old midfielder will make his Revolution and Gillette Stadium debuts if he plays in tonight’s contest.
