While the New England Revolution have their sights set on a top-four finish in the Eastern Conference – and a subsequent home game in the 2020 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs – they could officially clinch their postseason spot this weekend.

The earliest the Revs could book their place is Saturday evening, as they’d require a positive result in Friday night’s meeting with Nashville SC (8:30 p.m. ET, NBC Sports Boston, 98.5 The Sports Hub), as well as at least one other result to confirm their spot on Saturday.

Here are the Revolution’s playoff-clinching scenarios this weekend:

Revolution win vs. Nashville SC
AND
Atlanta United loss or draw vs. D.C. United

OR

Revolution draw vs. Nashville SC
AND
Atlanta United loss vs. D.C. United
AND
Inter Miami CF loss or draw vs. Orlando City SC

New England cannot clinch a playoff berth this weekend if they lose to Nashville SC on Friday night, and would instead then look ahead to their next opportunity on Wednesday, Oct. 28, when they’ll visit the New York Red Bulls.

Miami and Orlando are scheduled to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday (Univision), while Atlanta and D.C. will begin shortly thereafter at 4 p.m. ET (ESPN+).

The Revs are aiming to reach the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs for a second straight season after battling Atlanta United to a 1-0 loss in last year’s first round.
