FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution (4-3-6, 18 pts.) are set to visit D.C. United tonight for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff at Audi Field. The match airs locally on NECN, as well as on the radio at 98.5 The Sports Hub HD2 and WBIX 1260 AM Nossa Radio USA. Here is a closer look at New England’s lineup for Sunday’s contest:

Lineup Notes:

  • New England features two changes to its Starting XI from its most recent match on Sept. 23 vs. Montreal, with Matt Polster and DeJuan Jones starting in place of Kelyn Rowe and Alex Büttner.
  • Lee Nguyen will make his third consecutive start and fourth consecutive appearance since re-joining the club via trade with Inter Miami on Sept. 8. With one assist, Nguyen (51G/49A) will become the first player in club history to register 50 goals and 50 assists with New England.
  • Tajon Buchanan will make his third consecutive start, matching a career-high set during his rookie season in 2019. Buchanan, who registered his first assist of 2020 in last Wednesday’s 3-1 win over Montreal, has appeared in every match this season.
  • Gustavo Bou will wear the captain’s armband for the 10th time this season. Bou enters tonight’s match among the league leaders in shots (48) and shots on goal (18), where he ranks tied for first and second, respectively.
  • Teal Bunbury will make his 10th consecutive start tonight. Bunbury, tied for the team lead in goals (4), scored the game-winning goal in New England’s most recent encounter with D.C. United- a 2-1 Revolution win on Aug. 25 at Audi Field.
  • Matt Polster returns to the Starting XI after featuring as a substitute in a 27-minute shift in last Wednesday’s 3-1 win over Montreal. Polster will make his 80th career MLS start tonight.
  • Scott Caldwell will make his third consecutive start. Caldwell has registered consecutive 90-minute shifts over the past two games.
  • Henry Kessler is set to make his 14th appearance of the season and 11th start, both of which lead all 2020 MLS SuperDraft selections. Kessler scored his first career goal in last Wednesday’s victory.
  • Brandon Bye is poised to make his 14th start of the regular season, maintaining his position as the only New England player to start each regular season game. Bye leads the team in minutes played this season (1,121).
  • DeJuan Jones returns to the Starting XI for the first time since Sept. 2. Jones, who registered a 60-minute shift last Wednesday as a substitute, will make his 10th appearance and fifth start of the season.

Bench Notes:

  • With his next appearance, Diego Fagundez will match Matt Reis (254) for second on the club’s all-time games played list.
  • Kelyn Rowe needs one assist to reach 40 and claim sole possession of fourth-place among New England’s all-time assists leaders. His next goal will be his 30th in MLS.
