Get to Know Revolution II | Connor Presley

Connor Presley Revolution II

The inaugural Revolution II roster blends players with diverse soccer backgrounds, all bringing their own unique experience and quality to the team’s common goals of developing as players and winning games. In building the first squad, adding professional experience like that of Connor Presley was paramount. Boasting successful stints in the USL Championship with San Antonio FC and Loudoun United FC, and one additional season of non-league football in England, Presley has already emerged as a leader on and off the field for New England. Let’s learn more about the player once dubbed “The American Wonderkid”:

1. An Academy Star

A native of Austin, Texas, Presley’s youth career took a big step forward in 2014 when he joined the FC Dallas Academy. He spent two seasons in the Dallas youth system before making the leap to the pros in England. He later returned to Texas and featured for the Lonestar SC Academy in his hometown.

2. Across the Pond

In between academy stints, Presley plied his trade in England, where he made his professional debut with Nostell Miners Welfare in the ninth division of English football. In 19 games, he scored 12 times and garnered attention from a few European clubs, including FC Dinamo Brest in Belarus where he earned a trial session. The forward also went on loan to Guiseley AFC in the sixth division of English football for one match, scoring an impressive goal in a Cup game.

3. Back on Home Soil

With European experience under his belt, Presley stayed on his professional track once back in the United States. His first two seasons in the USL Championship were spent with San Antonio FC, where he played 29 games primarily as a winger. In 2019, he joined Loudoun United for its inaugural campaign and played under current Revolution assistant coach Richie Williams. With the D.C. United affiliate, the now-21-year-old scored twice in 28 games including last May’s USL Championship Goal of the Month.

4. The Great Outdoors

When he’s not on the soccer field, Presley stays active by hiking and fishing. Growing up in Texas, Presley and his family were constantly spending time together outdoors on fishing trips. For Presley, his passion for hiking comes from his love of exploring new places, while fishing helps him relax. Although the weather hasn’t yet been cooperative in Massachusetts this spring, Presley is excited to explore the New England woods this summer.
