Historically one of New England's fiercest foes, Chicago have been battling the Revs since joining MLS as one of the league's first expansion sides in 1998. These longtime rivals met in the playoffs a remarkable eight times in a 10-year span from 2000-09 (totaling 15 meetings), with each side winning the series on four occasions. The rivalry has been tempered in recent years, however, as the Revs and Fire haven't squared off in the postseason for more than a decade.

Chicago have held the upper hand in the recent regular-season series, going unbeaten (5-0-2) in a seven-game stretch from 2016-19. New England began to turn the tables in their last meeting, however, snapping that streak by claiming a 2-1 win at Gillette Stadium last August 24, courtesy of a stunning late winner from Gustavo Bou.

This will be the first of two regular-season meetings between the Revs and Fire in 2020, with the rematch set for May 30 at Soldier Field as the Fire return to the heart of the city for the first time since moving to Bridgeview in 2006.

Overall Record vs. Chicago: 22-28-12
Home Record vs. Chicago: 17-11-3

Saturday afternoon will mark the official regular season debut of "The Original," New England's brand new primary kit designed as a nod to the club's original 1996 look, as Major League Soccer and the Revs enter their milestone 25th season.

The sleek white stripe across the jersey echoes the angled stripes across the '96 kit, while the blue top is complemented by red shorts similar to those worn by the Revolution's first-ever squad.

You can own "The Original" by picking one up at the Gillette Stadium ProShop, or by ordering online HERE.
