This will be the 71st regular-season meeting – and 82nd meeting in all competitions – between the New England Revolution and New York Red Bulls, whose storied history dates back to Major League Soccer’s inaugural season in 1996.
The series has seen its fair share of ebbs and flows in recent years as the Revs won three of four meetings between 2015 and 2016, only for the Red Bulls to return the favor with victories in the last three contests, including a July 5 meeting at Gillette Stadium last season. Overall the Revs are 21-6-7 against their longstanding rivals in Foxborough, where they also won an Eastern Conference Championship over the Red Bulls in 2014.

Break out your blue kits!
The Revs will be sporting their new sleek primary kits, which take inspiration from the Boston Minutemen, a North American Soccer League club that played in Foxboro's Schaefer Stadium in 1976.
The jerseys will also feature a unique twist on Saturday night as the Revs will sport special Pride-themed numbers as part of the festivities surrounding the club's second annual Pride Night.
The game-worn jerseys will be available after the match via online auction, will all proceeds going to benefit You Can Play.
PRIDE NIGHT
The Revs will celebrate their second annual Pride Night when they host the New York Red Bulls. In recognition of Boston Pride Week, the Revolution captain will wear a Pride armband, the field will feature Pride-themed corner flags, and the Pride flag will fly from the Gillette Stadium lighthouse along with other Matchday elements.
