FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Diego Fagundez and Charlie Davies both scored as the New England Revolution came from behind to top the Chicago Fire, 2-1, on Sunday night at Gillette Stadium. Fagundez headed in a Lee Nguyen cross late in the first half before Davies notched the game-winning goal in the second half off of a Jermaine Jones through ball from midfield.


The win was New England’s (12-12-3, 39 pts.) fourth in a row, and the team is now unbeaten in its last five games, going 4-0-1. The Revs sit in third place in the Eastern Conference, three points back of second-place Sporting KC, while Chicago (5-7-14, 29 pts.) sits in ninth place.


The Revolution next host the Montreal Impact next Saturday, September 13, at Gillette Stadium with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised by Comcast SportsNet, while 98.5 The Sports Hub will have the call on the radio.
