FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Lee Nguyen’s two second half goals made the difference as the New England Revolution topped Sporting Kansas City 3-1 on Wednesday night at Gillette Stadium. The Revs claimed their second come-from-behind victory of the season after falling behind 1-0 in the ninth minute.

Jermaine Jones made his first start for New England (11-12-3, 36 pts.) and played 45 minutes against Sporting Kansas City (12-9-6, 42 pts.), tallying an assist on Teal Bunbury’s equalizing goal in the 45th minute. Nguyen scored both early and late in the second half as the Revolution won its third straight game and extended its unbeaten streak to four games, going 3-0-1 in that time.

The Revolution return to action on Sunday, September 7 when it hosts the Chicago Fire at Gillette Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be shown live on Comcast SportsNet while 98.5 The Sports Hub will have the call on the radio.
