Jeremiah White

A tremendously fast player who excels at running at defenders down the wing … most comfortable at right midfield, but can also play as a forward – either up top or withdrawn … exceptionally athletic … reunites with Benny Feilhaber after playing two seasons with him in Denmark with AGF Aarhus… helped the club gain promotion from the Danish second division to the Danish Superliga after the 2007 season … holds the unofficial MLS record for longest time between being drafted by a club (January 2004) and actually signing with the club (March 2012 …  speaks fluent French, Spanish and Danish and is conversational in Arabic. 

BEFORE MLS: Originally drafted by the Revolution in the third round (23rd overall) in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft, he bypassed MLS and pursued playing options overseas and signed with Serbia’s OFK Beograd in January 2004 … after a brief stay with the club, moved to Greece’s Panserraikos for one season … signed with France’s FC Gueugnon in January 2005, where he stayed until signing with Denmark’s AFG Aarhus in January 2007 … made 86 appearances with Aarhus, scoring seven goals during three seasons when he helped the club gain promotion to the Danish Superliga alongside current Revolution teammate Benny Feilhaber … following three successful years with Aarhus, moved to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ettifaq in December 2009 and became the second-ever American to play professionally in the Middle East … after six months, signed with Poland’s GKS Belchatow, where he last played professionally.

COLLEGE: Had a stand-out collegiate career at Wake Forest … in 67 career appearances, scored 37 goals and added 17 assists … a two-time All-American (2001, 2003) and three-time All-ACC performer (2001, 2002, 2003) … the 2003 ACC Player of the Year … left Wake as the school’s second-leading scorer all-time with 93 points … had a break-out sophomore season in which he was an All-America honoree following a15-goal, seven-assist effort … as a senior, regained All-America accolades behind an eight-goal, three-assist season in which he was also the league’s player of the year.

INTERNATIONAL: Has one cap with the U.S. National Team … came on as a substitute in the U.S.’ 2-0 win over Sweden in Carson, Calif., on Jan. 19, 2008, his only appearance with the squad.

PERSONAL: Son of Jeremiah Jr. White and Judith White … married to wife, Dana … the couple has two children; Jeremiah IV (5) and Daniel (2), with third child on the way in 2012  … runs several of his own businesses outside of soccer, including JaySocial … enjoys lawn and yard maintenance and cars,  and has a long-term plan for expanding his car collection … lists scoring three goals against Montpellier HSC and playing Paris and the Coupe de la Ligue as his favorite soccer memories ... follows AGF Aarhus, Marseille FC and Arsenalis involved with different foundations including iPraxis, Monterey Charter School and L’Equipe – soccer for social change … his favorite vacation spot is Antalya, Turkey.
