Three Revolution Players Called In for International Duty

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Three New England Revolution players have been named to rosters by their respective countries for mid-June matches. Antonio Delamea (Slovenia), Kei Kamara (Sierra Leone), and Je-Vaughn Watson (Jamaica) will all feature with their national teams in matches next month.


Delamea, 25, has been called up for Slovenia's upcoming World Cup qualifier. Slovenia, currently in third place in Group F of the European World Cup Qualification Group Stage, is set to host sixth place Malta on June 10. The Celje native made his senior debut with the Slovenia national team on Nov. 14, 2016 in an international friendly against Poland.


Kamara, 32, is set to join Sierra Leone ahead of the Leone Stars' June 8th clash with Kenya in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier. Kamara most recently appeared with Sierra Leone on Sept. 3, 2016 and scored the team’s lone goal in its 1-1 draw in an Africa Cup of National Qualifier with Côte d’Ivoire. Kamara has collected 25 career caps and has scored five goals with the Leone Stars.


Watson, 33, has been called up for Jamaica's upcoming international friendly at Peru on June 13. The Saint Catherine Parish, Jamaica, native has accrued 63 career caps for the Reggae Boyz and has scored three goals. Watson most recently joined Jamaica prior to a pair of February friendlies against the United States (Feb. 3) and Honduras (Feb. 17). Watson started both matches, played a full 90 minutes, and captained the Reggae Boyz in both contests.
