Revolution’s MLS Cup Playoffs opener set for full coverage from Comcast SportsNet

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution will begin their quest for their first MLS Cup on Saturday, November 1, when the club travels to face the Columbus Crew in the first leg of their Eastern Conference Semifinal at Crew Stadium.

Comcast SportsNet, the Revolution’s broadcast partner, will get fans primed for the postseason with expanded coverage this week.

A special edition of “State of the Revs” is set to air tomorrow, Thursday, October 30. Host Dalen Cuff will have an extended conversation with head coach Jay Heaps, as well as a joint sit down with MLS MVP candidate Lee Nguyen and fellow midfielder Jermaine Jones. A.J. Soares will also break down the Columbus attack in the Boot Room, while Revolution play-by-play announcer Brad Feldman will analyze how the Revs and Crew match up in the midfield.

On Saturday, Comcast SportsNet will begin its full coverage of the match at 4 p.m., and will follow the game with an edition of Revs Postgame Live. Feldman and Paul Mariner will have the call of the game, while Cuff will host Revolution Postgame Live with former Revolution midfielder Khano Smith. Cuff and Smith will break down the match and talk with Heaps and Revolution players live from Columbus while Feldman and Mariner add additional analysis.

The match will also be carried live throughout the region on the radio on 98.5 The Sports Hub. Additionally, Spanish speaking Revolution fans across the country will also be able to catch the game live on the Univision Deportes Network.

Revolution supporters are invited to attend the club’s official watch party at The Banshee (934 Dorchester Ave., Boston, Mass.). With the support of Budweiser, the festivities will begin at 3 p.m., when the club’s supporters will gather together to watch the game. The Rev Girls will be on hand, and a Revs player is expected to appear from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be ticket giveaways and other prizes available to fans in attendance.

Supporters outside of Boston can meet up with fellow Revs fans at GPub (61 Orange St., Providence), as well as Ri Ra locations in Burlington, Vermont (123 Church St.), Portland, Maine (72 Commercial St.) and Portsmouth, New Hampshire (22 Market Square).
