- Today’s starting group features one change from the previous match as Wilfrid Kaptoum starts in place of Teal Bunbury.
- Brad Knighton earns the start in net for the second straight game as Matt Turner remains on international duty with the U.S. Men’s National Team. The 15th-year pro made four saves in his season debut last Wednesday. He owns a 0-1-1 record against Atlanta United, with one shutout.
- Andrew Farrell becomes the third player in club history to collect 250 regular season starts in a New England uniform, joining Matt Reis (253) and Shalrie Joseph (254). Farrell is quickly approaching the club records for MLS appearances, starts, and minutes played, all held by Joseph.
- Wilfrid Kaptoum makes his seventh appearance and third start of the season, his first with the Revolution. The 25-year-old’s last start came at home on May 22, a 3-1 win over the New York Red Bulls.
- Carles Gil, Gustavo Bou, and Adam Buksa appear together in the Starting XI for the second straight game and fifth time this season. - Gustavo Bou, making his 11th start of the season of the season, will look to add to his team-high six goals. The Argentinian striker is looking to spark a new scoring streak after scoring in five straight games from May 22 - July 3.
- Adam Buksa earns his eighth start of the season as he plays in his 41st consecutive appearance (regular season and playoffs). Buksa, who celebrated his 25th birthday on July 12, is the only Revolution player to appear in every game since the start of the 2020 season.
- Matt Polster continues to appear in every contest in 2021, starting all but one. Today marks his 25th start with the Revolution across the regular season and playoffs.
- Brazilian midfielder Maciel makes his fourth consecutive start and his 10th of the season.
