Revolution clinch spot in Audi 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs

DL - Eastern Conference Knockout round

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – With this evening’s 3-1 win over New York City FC at Yankee Stadium, the New England Revolution have today clinched the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. The Revs will now face D.C. United on Wednesday night at RFK Stadium in the Knockout Round of the Audi 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs. This is the third consecutive season in which the Revs have appeared in the postseason and the 13th time in club history.

New England finishes the regular season with a 14-12-8 record for 50 points. That leaves them one point behind fourth place D.C. United, who suffered a 5-0 loss to Columbus Crew SC tonight, dropping their record to 15-13-6 for 51 points.

Should the Revolution defeat D.C. United on Wednesday night, they will advance to the two-leg, aggregate goal Eastern Conference Semifinals against either the New York Red Bulls or Columbus Crew SC. The first leg of that series would be played at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, November 1, while the second leg would be played on the road one week later. | CLICK HERE FOR TICKET INFORMATION
