Brandon Bye vs. Seattle Sounders FC (2019 Colonial)

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution (9-9-7, 34 pts.) played to a 3-3 road draw with the Seattle Sounders (11-7-6; 39 pts.) before a crowd of 38,826 at CenturyLink Field on Saturday afternoon. Seattle midfielder Harry Shipp opened the scoring with a goal in the second minute. Revolution defender Michael Mancienne and forward Gustavo Bou answered with goals just eight minutes apart in the 27th and 35th minutes, respectively. Seattle would go on to score two additional goals to regain the lead, but an 87th-minute Carles Gil penalty kick goal salvaged an important point for the visitors.

By adding his ninth goal via the game-tying penalty kick, he is one goal shy of becoming the second MLS player this season to have accrued 10 goals and 10 assists. Additionally, Bou has now scored three goals in his first five games with the team. The 29-year-old Argentina native led the side with four shots in this afternoon’s draw.
