CURRENT FORM

New England Revolution
11th in Eastern Conference (9-15-8, 35 pts.)

Last Result | 2-0 win vs. Atlanta United FC

Last weekend’s 2-0 win over visiting Atlanta United FC was a much-needed boost for both the Revs and their supporters as they aim to finish the season on a high. With interim head coach Pablo Moreira instilling an aggressive approach and Dor Turgeman energizing the attack, the Revs appear to be on a positive path.

In their last meeting with Inter Miami, New England fell to a tight 2-1 loss, conceding both goals to Lionel Messi in the first half. Although the Revolution were able to shut out Miami in the second half, Carles Gil’s late goal wasn’t enough to make up the difference. With Leo Campana back from a recent injury and Turgeman now on the scoresheet, New England hopes for a sharper attack against the Herons.

Inter Miami CF
4th in Eastern Conference (16-7-8, 56 pts.)

Last Result | 5-3 loss vs. Chicago Fire FC

Miami’s last match against Chicago was on brand for the high-scoring Herons. Despite the loss, Miami’s three goals extended their league-leading total to 68. On the flip side, conceding five raised their goals against to a total of 52, making them one of the worst defensive teams in the Eastern Conference.

Miami’s dangerous attack has balanced out their loose defense and helped secure their ticket to the playoffs. The Herons have been especially strong at home this season, going 9-3-3 at Chase Stadium. As the Revolution have found more strength on the road this season (5-6-5), they’ll look to exploit the Miami defense and go out with a bang for their last away game of 2025.

KEY PLAYERS

Revolution striker Leo Campana
Leo Campana is returning to form after taking the pitch in New England’s last match against Atlanta for the first time since being sidelined three games with an injury. The striker came on in the 65th minute and almost immediately found his seventh goal of the season.

For Campana, who joined the Revolution after playing three seasons with Inter Miami, Saturday’s match will be his first time returning to Chase Stadium since wearing a Miami jersey. Playing in front of his old home crowd and against old teammates, New England’s second-highest scoring player should be motivated to add more to his tally.

Miami forward Lionel Messi
There is no way to avoid the Messi conversation when it comes to Inter Miami, especially when the Argentine attacker is leading the MLS Golden Boot race with a whopping 24 goals. Messi is also one of the league’s assist leaders with 14 helpers, giving him 38 total goal contributions in 2025.

In three appearances against the Revolution, Messi has scored seven times. Two of those goals came earlier this year when he was the lone goal scorer for Miami when they defeated the Revs, 2-1.

HEAR FROM THE REVS

Interim head coach Pablo Moreira on the week’s preparation ahead of Miami:
“It’s why you do it. We want to play against the best and we want to beat the best. That’s ultimately why you do it. We don’t shy away from it. We’re going to rise to the occasion, and we will come out aggressive. I don’t care who is in front of us, we’re still going to have the same mentality and we’re still going to focus on ourselves, obviously taking into consideration the opponent. But for me, it’s all about us.”

Moreira on what Dor Turgeman and Leo Campana can contribute this weekend after scoring off the bench last Saturday:
“I think it’s more just the eye test. [Turgeman and Campana] both in different situations, but both are trying to find their form physically. Obviously, their form on the field [last weekend] spoke for itself, the physical part of it – just assessing where they’re at, then reassessing that at the end of the week and seeing kind of what the minute restrictions are. What I love is we have those two and then we have a bunch of other guys that can step in, so it’s a good position to be in.”

Defender Brandon Bye on the team's approach over the last two games:
“[Pablo Moreira] is giving us all the confidence to enjoy the game and to see where we can make it ours. I think that’s one thing he really expressed to us. It’s fun when you go out there and just enjoy it and see how the game comes to you. Obviously, we’re all fighting and pushing for the three points every time we go out there, so I think that’s important.”
