The Revolution continue their four-game road stretch out west this weekend, heading to California to face the LA Galaxy. The teams will meet for the first time since 2022 – and for the first time in LA since 2019 – kicking off at 9:30 p.m. ET at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday night.

The Revolution improved their away record in Columbus last weekend, opening a four-game road stretch in dominant fashion with a 3-1 comeback victory. The win brought the Revs to 3-5-2 away from Gillette Stadium, taking consecutive victories in their last two road games. As they head to Los Angeles, the Revolution seem to have found some momentum as visitors – which they struggled to find in the first half of the season.
Last time out, the Revs logged three goals from three different scorers, and while they have found many multi-goal victories this season, they have continued to stand out defensively. Sitting fourth in the Eastern Conference standings, New England are the second strongest defensive side in the East and fifth best in the league. While they have conceded just 27 goals, the Revs will face an LA side that has conceded 35 goals in 26 games.

The LA Galaxy have had a rocky return to play following the FIFA World Cup break, finding just a single win in two months of regular season action. Since the start of July, LA have struggled on the attack, scoring just six goals in eight games. The Galaxy are one of the lowest scoring teams in the West, with just 28 goals logged so far this season.
LA currently sit just two spots above the bottom of the Western Conference, earning 26 points through 23 games. While New England have only recently found consistency on the road, the Galaxy have been inconsistent as hosts, earning just three wins at Dignity Health Sports Park.
KEY PLAYERS
Revolution winger Peyton Miller
Peyton Miller has had a standout season for New England. While the 18-year-old has featured as a defender for the Revs in the past, he has been playing an attacking role under head coach Marko Mitrović, which has made a huge impact for the Revolution. Miller is one of the team’s leading goal contributors with four goals and four assists this season.
Miller has been in especially good form recently, earning an assist in each of his last three appearances. In those three outings, the Connecticut native has also played all but a single minute. Miller currently leads the team with 22 shots on target and owns the third highest xG on the team.
Galaxy winger Chucky Lozano
The Galaxy acquired Hirving “Chucky” Lozano on loan from fellow Southern California side, San Diego FC, at the start of August and he has since made four appearances for the club. Logging just 211 minutes so far for the Galaxy, Lozano got his name on the scoresheet for the first time in LA’s last outing against his former San Diego teammates. Saturday will mark just the second time Lozano will play at home for LA, as he looks to make an impression on the home crowd.
Last season, Lozano was San Diego’s second-highest goal contributor with nine goals and 10 assists in 27 games. The Galaxy have been without striker João Klauss, who leads the team in goals. With Klauss unavailable due to injury, Lozano will be an important attacking piece for LA as they look to make up for the gap.

Head coach Marko Mitrović on what he expects from the LA Galaxy and playing a Western Conference team:
“It is interesting to fly across the country. It’s a six-hour flight, you change three time zones, and that’s a challenge, but it’s a challenge that every team in this league will face during the season. It’s not something that is more difficult for us than any other team. Yes, if you play LA Galaxy in LA or if you play them at home, it is very different.
“They are a team that won MLS Cup two seasons ago. They still have a good core of those players and coach. They are a team that is very good trying to control the game with the ball, very strong in defending to attacking transition. They have talent, but we also have our strengths. We will try to expose those certain weaknesses and expose our strengths.”
Assistant coach Michael Morris on the team's mindset during its current stretch of four consecutive road matches:
"I think 'resilience' is the right word to put it. You know, we could look at it as a crazy stretch of road games. I don't find it crazy. I find it quite enjoyable. We get to go play on grass surfaces, and we travel really well. I like road games because it's an opportunity for the team to always stay collected and cohesive. I think our performances on the road have also been very good. If you don't even think about the scoreline, that's the most positive thing about it. I also feel like we set ourselves up to have a lot of control whether we're home or away.”
Midfielder Matt Polster on how much the team’s mentality starts with head coach Marko Mitrović:
“I think he is a great leader, and a great motivational speaker before games, as well. I think he gets us going in the right way. Again, you want that belief, and I think he gives that to us. From there, when he gives us that belief we believe in ourselves even more. As a group, we’re able to push through those adversities.”
