FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (October 12, 2023) – New England Revolution midfielders Noel Buck and Dylan Borrero have been named to the MLS 22 Under 22 presented by BODYARMOR, a list of the top 22 players in MLS under the age of 22 – as voted by on by an expert panel consisting of select MLS staff and MLS Season Pass talent.

Buck, a homegrown product of the Revolution’s pro player pathway, ranked No. 4 on the list and is the youngest player featured among the 22 honorees. Borrero, 21, made a strong impression in an injury-shortened season to land at No. 13 on the list of the league’s best young talents. The Revolution are one of only two MLS clubs with a pair of players listed inside the top 15.

One of four 18-year-olds to appear on this year’s 22 Under 22 list, Buck has excelled in his second MLS season with his boyhood club. In 2023, Buck has tallied three goals and one assist in over 24 league appearances, including 19 starts. Since making his senior team debut in 2022, he has totaled 31 appearances, 22 starts, and four goals in MLS action. A member of the Revolution Academy since age 12, the USA-England dual national also gained valuable professional experience with New England’s second team, Revolution II, in MLS NEXT Pro.

The Arlington, Mass. product has earned two call-ups to the England Men’s Under-19 National Team, both times as the only player based at a non-European club to be selected to the roster. This week, Buck is with the Young Lions for 2023-24 UEFA Under-19 European Championship qualifying action, with upcoming games against Wales (Oct. 14) and Austria (Oct. 17).

Borrero, 21, lands on the 22 Under 22 list despite making only eight appearances to open the 2023 MLS campaign before sustaining a season-ending knee injury in April. The Colombian winger scored two goals with one assist early this season, giving him five goals and three helpers across 20 MLS appearances to date, 14 of which were starts. The former Independiente Santa Fe and Club Atletico Mineiro attacker arrived in New England as the club’s first signing under the MLS U22 Initiative, which allows MLS clubs to sign players age 22 and younger to lucrative contracts at a reduced budget charge.

The New England Revolution, fifth in the Eastern Conference with two games remaining, face the final road test of the regular season this Saturday, Oct. 14 at seventh-place Nashville SC.
