New England Revolution part ways with goalkeeper Tomáš Vaclík

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (January 9, 2024) – The New England Revolution have parted ways with goalkeeper Tomáš Vaclík and exercised the club’s buyout on the player’s Salary Budget charge. Vaclík, 34, was signed by New England in August 2023. The Czech goalkeeper did not make an appearance in his time with the club.

Revolution players will convene at the Revolution Training Center in Foxborough, Mass. on Saturday, Jan. 13 for entrance physicals, before kicking off 2024 preseason training the week of Jan. 15-19. After a four-game preseason slate in Florida, New England’s first match of the season will be the opening leg of Round One in the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup on Wednesday Feb. 21 in Panama against CA Independiente (8:00 p.m. ET). The 2024 MLS regular season then begins on Saturday, Feb. 24 (7:30 p.m. ET) at D.C. United.  After the club’s first home match in Concacaf Champions Cup action on Thursday, Feb. 29 vs. CA Independiente (8:15 p.m. ET), New England’s MLS home opener is Sunday, March 3 vs. Toronto FC (2:00 p.m. ET).
