New England Revolution Academy Highlights: November 1, 2022

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution Academy U-14s, U-15s, and U-17s were all back in action over the weekend and secured four wins after hosting FA Euro New York, Inter Miami CF, and Valeo FC.

The U-17s secured their seventh win of the season over Inter Miami CF to remain unbeaten. Olger Escobar (2006 – Lynn, Mass.) notched a brace following an Inter Miami own goal as Ryan Carney (2006 – Dunstable, Mass.) earned the shutout in their 3-0 victory.

The U-15s earned their fourth win of the year with a 4-0 shutout over Inter Miami CF as Cristiano Oliveira (2008 – Somerville, Mass.) netted a hat trick with Cristiano Carlos (2008 – Chicopee, Mass.) scoring his fourth goal of the season in the 35th minute. Goalkeeper Sean Cory (2008 – Wrentham, Mass.) secured his first clean sheet of the year in the victory.

The U-14s shut out FA Euro New York, 2-0, with goals from Jayden Flores (2009 – Lowell, Mass.) and Judah Siqueira (2009 – South Easton, Mass.) on Saturday. The U-14s went on to beat Valeo FC, 3-2, with Siqueira, Tyler Bergquist (2009 – Colchester, Conn.) and Camilo Moreno Bustamante (2008 – Peabody, Mass.) each tallying in the victory.

The U-15s and U-17s return to action this weekend to take on D.C. United and Philadelphia Union on the road, while the U-14s head out to face Intercontinental FA next Tuesday, November 8. Revolution MLS & MLS NEXT Highlights:

· Malcolm Fry (2005 – Groton, Mass.) signed his first professional contract with Revolution II last Friday, becoming the seventh Revolution Academy player to ascend to the second team’s roster since the team’s inaugural season in 2020.
· Olger Escobar (2006 – Lynn, Mass.) scored twice to secure the U-17s 3-0 victory over Inter Miami CF on Saturday.
· Sean Cory (2008 – Wrentham, Mass.) earned his first clean sheet of the season with the U-15s.
· After netting a hat trick vs. Inter Miami CF, Cristiano Oliveira (2008 – Somerville, Mass.) now leads the U-15s with five goals on the season.
· Jayden Flores (2009 – Lowell, Mass.) scored his first goal of the season and the game-winner in the U-14s 2-0 win over FA Euro New York.
· With two goals scored on the weekend, Judah Siqueira (2009 – South Easton, Mass.) leads the U-14s with eight goals scored through nine games this year.
