RECENT FORM VS. COLUMBUS CREW
Although Columbus have historically been favored at home against the Revolution, New England arrive at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field as one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. The Revs most recently earned a point in a 1-1 home draw with New York City FC to close a three-game week. More importantly, they gained confidence away from home with a commanding 3-0 victory at D.C. United last Wednesday night.
The Revs have claimed two straight victories over the Columbus Crew, beginning with a 2-1 win in last season’s visit to Ohio. Earlier this year, New England followed with a comeback victory over the Crew at Gillette Stadium. The Revolution now return to Columbus to face a side with just four wins in 10 home matches this season.
Columbus have had a very busy August, playing seven games in three weeks between Leagues Cup and regular season action. In MLS play, the Crew have yet to find a win this month, extending their winless streak to four games following a 3-2 loss at Nashville SC. The Crew will play one more Leagues Cup match against Club América – a quarterfinal – this week before hosting New England.
Saturday's match kicks off a four-game road streak for New England, who won't return to Gillette Stadium until September 19 to take on Orlando City SC.

The Revolution will sport the "Independence Day" kit on Saturday night. Released at the start of the 2026 season, it will serve as the team's Club Kit through the 2026-27 campaigns.
Honoring 250 years of American Independence, the kit pays homage to the New England history which helped shape the country. The bold design leans into the themes of celebration, inspired by the classic patriotic bunting and the fireworks displays that have been lighting up New England skies for a quarter Millenium. With the Heritage Tree on the shirtfront and "Est. 1776" on the collar, the kit embodies New England pride.
The Independence Day jersey is paired with navy shorts adorned by three red stripes down each side. The red, white, and blue socks also sport the Revolution seal across the shins.
