RECENT FORM VS. D.C. UNITED

It's been a little more than a month since the Revs and D.C. last squared off at Audi Field, where New England took down the hosts, 2-0, behind goals from Gustavo Bou and Adam Buksa. Bou scored the game-winning goal in the 86th minute, when he combined with Cristian Penilla and slotted a low shot past D.C. United goalkeeper Bill Hamid. Buksa added an insurance goal only minutes later in stoppage time with a chipped shot, securing New England’s second win at Audi Field this season.

These two sides know each other well as the end of the regular season approaches. This will be the Revs and D.C.'s fourth and final match of the 2020 regular season, as New England has gone 2-0-1 in their previous three meetings.

D.C. come to Foxborough unbeaten in their last four games, going 3-0-1 in that span. D.C. are currently just outside the playoff places in the East with 21 points. Meanwhile, the Revs clinched their berth to the postseason midweek and currently sit at 8th place with 29 points.

For the Revolution, making the playoffs isn't their only goal. Forward Teal Bunbury said, "Our goal right now is finishing the season strong so we’re in the best position to have home-field advantage and to not have to play that play-in game.” As the Revs look to pick up maximum points in their two remaining regular season games to challenge for a top-six finish and avoid the play-in round, D.C. are also hungry as they are fighting for a chance to simply compete in the postseason.

As the Revs square off one final time at Gillette Stadium in the regular season, this will be an Eastern battle that you won't want to miss.

HEALTHCARE HERO APPRECIATION MATCH presented by UNITEDHEALTHCARE

Since Major League Soccer's return to play this past July, the Revolution and UnitedHealthcare have teamed up to honor and thank local frontline healthcare workers. Before each Revolution match a local healthcare worker was highlighted on the Revolution’s social channels.

Sunday’s home finale against D.C. United marks the Healthcare Hero Appreciation Match presented by UnitedHealthcare. This game will honor these healthcare heroes that have been on the frontlines during the unprecedented year of 2020 combating the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Revolution will also honor these Healthcare Heroes with their cardboard cutouts in the stands so the team can close out the final regular season match at Gillette Stadium with the frontline workers with them in spirit.

On Sunday night the Revs will be sporting "The Original," New England's primary kit designed as a nod to the club's original 1996 look, as Major League Soccer and the Revs continue their milestone 25th season. The sleek white stripe across the jersey echoes the angled stripes across the '96 kit, while the blue top is complemented by red shorts similar to those worn by the Revolution's first-ever squad.
