FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Kelyn Rowe is expected to miss the next 6-8 weeks after spraining his right knee in the dying stages of Sunday night’s 2-1 loss to New York City FC.

Rowe’s knee bent awkwardly as he planted on the temporary sod at Yankee Stadium, and the 25-year-old midfielder required extensive treatment before being helped off the field. He’ll now likely miss at least a large chunk of the remaining nine weeks of the regular season.

There is good news for a trio of other Revolution players, however, as Diego Fagundez, Xavier Kouassi and Lee Nguyen all resumed full training this week after injury scares in the Bronx.

Fagundez missed the final minutes of the game while undergoing the league’s concussion protocol, Kouassi was removed after clutching his leg in the 70th minute, and Nguyen was deemed unavailable for selection after suffering a knock in pregame warmups.

But all three appear to have escaped relatively unscathed. Fagundez has been cleared for a return to training, Kouassi was merely suffering from cramps, and Nguyen was a full participant on Tuesday.

The Revs will return to action on Saturday night when they’ll visit D.C. United at RFK Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m., with coverage on CSN New England and 98.5 The Sports Hub.
