FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The Concacaf Men’s Olympic Qualifying Championship continues on Friday with Tajon Buchanan and the Canada Under-23 Men’s National Team beginning Group B play against El Salvador. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. ET with coverage on FS1 (English) and TUDN (Spanish).

Buchanan has his sights set on an international debut, having experienced his first Canadian National Team camp back in January. The 22-year-old winger turned heads during a strong sophomore season with the New England Revolution, particularly in the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, playing as a right back and scoring the Revs’ insurance goal in their 2-0 win over the Supporters’ Shield winners Philadelphia Union.

Canada and El Salvador make up half of Group B in the competition, joined by Honduras and Haiti, who play at 3:30 p.m. ET on Friday. Revolution II defender and 2021 MLS SuperDraft pick François Dulysse is part of the Haiti squad, which will face Buchanan and Canada on Monday.

The tournament began on Thursday night with the United States earning a 1-0 win over Costa Rica thanks to Jesus Ferreira’s first-half goal, as Revolution center back Henry Kessler was an unused substitute. Mexico then went to the top of Group A on goal difference courtesy of a 4-1 win over the Dominican Republic.
