Academy Update | U19s, U17s, U15s host Red Bulls as U14s go to North Carolina

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – All four New England Revolution Academy teams continued their fall campaigns over the weekend. The Unders-19s, Under-17s, and Under-15s faced off against the New York Red Bulls, while the Under-14s recorded an unbeaten 2-0-1 record over three games in North Carolina.


All four New England Revolution Academy teams continue their seasons this weekend. The Under-19s, Under-17s, and Under-15s will visit the Montreal Impact in Quebec, while the Under-14s will host Valeo Futbol Club in Newton.


WEEKHIGHLIGHTS


  • Forward Damien Rivera (Cranston, R.I. — 2002) continued his goal-scoring run by converting a penalty kick in the U-19s' match against the New York Red Bulls. Rivera paces the U-19s with eight goals on the fall season.
  • Midfielder Hikaru Fujiwara (Lexington, Mass. — 2003) scored his team-best third goal this season in the U-17s' draw against the New York Red Bulls.
  • Forward Jordi Tornberg Ayala (Revere, Mass. — 2006) scored three goals in the U-14s' three-game swing over the weekend, including a brace in the team's 3-0 win vs. Richmond United. Ayala has scored nine goals through seven appearances this season.
  • Forward Olger Escobar (Lynn, Mass. — 2006) contributed a brace in the U-14s' 4-0 win vs. United Futbol Academy. Escobar's six goals are second most among New England's U-14s this season.
  • Goalkeeper Sebastian Wraga (Springfield, Mass. — 2006) anchored the U-14s to a pair of clean sheets in its wins against United Futbol Academy and Richmond United.
