Academy Highlights | U-15s and U-17s wrap up play at 2022 Generation adidas Cup

The New England Revolution Academy U-15s and U-17s were back in action last weekend, as they concluded competition at the 2022 Generation adidas Cup.

The U-17s went 1-2-0 in the Showcase stage. Forward Olger Escobar (2006 – Lynn, Mass.) scored twice against Nashville FC to lead his team to a 2-0 victory, while forwards Enzo Goncalves (2006 – Hyannis, Mass.) and Benaiah Hanson (2006 – Forney, T.X.) each scored in their final game of the tournament vs. the Portland Timbers.

The U-15s went 2-1-1 in the Showcase stage. Goal scorers in the tournament included forwards Peyton Miller (2007 – Unionville, Conn.) and Raphael Alves (2007 – Framingham, Mass.) each with two, while forward Tito Nichols (2007 – Milton, Mass.) notched one goal to wrap up their tournament.

All four Revolution Academy teams return to play next weekend with the U-19s and U-14s traveling to take on Empire United on Sunday, while the U-17s and U-15s will take on New York Red Bulls in Whippany, N.J. on Saturday. · Academy midfielder Jack Panayotou (2004 – Cambridge, Mass.) scored his first two professional goals with Revolution II, notching the fourth brace in team history, including the game winner, in their comeback victory over FC Cincinnati 2 on Sunday.

· U-15 forwards Peyton Miller (2007 – Unionville, Conn.) and Raphael Alves (2007 – Framingham, Mass.) each notched two goals in the Showcase stage at the GA Cup.

· U-15 goalkeepers Marshall Nason Martin (2007 – Norwood, Mass.) and Max Dressel (2007 – Marblehead, Mass.) each recorded a clean sheet in the team’s final two games vs. Orlando City SC and Seattle Sounders FC.
