International Scout

Sergio Neveleff enters his third season as an international scout for the New England Revolution after joining the technical staff in December 2018. Neveleff brings two decades of extensive scouting knowledge and experience, much of it in Argentina’s SuperLiga, including stints as the Director of International Development with Estudiantes de La Plata (2003-08) and as a founding member of the International Youth Scouting and Development Program at Racing Club de Avellaneda (2013-14). Since 2014, he has been working as an independent scout representing multiple clubs across the world.

Neveleff also held executive positions with Bolivian club C.D. Jorge Wilstermann and Argentine outfit Aldosivi. In 2011 with Wilstermann, Neveleff was the Executive Sport Directors charged with scouting, contract management, and club logistics. With Aldosivi, he was the club’s youth manager and scout from 2012-13. Throughout his career, Neveleff has also worked extensively with Argentine manager Claudio Vivas, who is currently General Coordinator for the Boca Juniors reserve teams.

The Argentina native began working with U.S. Soccer in 2008 following his time with Estudiantes. His first role with the federation was assisting current U.S. Soccer Technical Advisor and then-scout Scott Spencer, before later being hired to establish continuing education programs for A-licensed coaches in Argentina and Brazil. In that capacity, Neveleff led multiple tours of Argentine soccer experiences for international coaches, helping them develop a better understanding of the game in his native country.

Neveleff, 54, received his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Northridge Community College before earning his MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Belgrano in Buenos Aires. He has participated in and spoken at multiple Soccerex conferences in countries as far as South Africa and Brazil. Neveleff speaks fluent Spanish, English, and Portuguese, and is the brother of former Revolution Assistant Coach and current Orlando City SC Academy Director Marcelo Neveleff.
