FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution Academy continued its fall season this weekend as all five teams returned to action. The Under-19s, Under-17s, and Under-15s traveled to Montreal, Quebec to face the Montreal Impact Academy at Centre Nutrilait on Saturday, Sept. 22, and the Under-14s and Under-13s faced NEFC at NEFC Park in Mendon, Mass.

All five Academy teams will be on the road in New York City next weekend on Saturday, Sept. 29 and Sunday, Sept. 30. The U-14 and U-13 teams will travel to Flushing, N.Y. to face the younger sides of BW Gottschee on Saturday in their fourth tests of the season, while the U-19s, U-17s, and U-15s will play in Brooklyn on Sunday to face the older groups of BW Gottschee on the group’s third road trip of the season.

WEEK HIGHLIGHTS

• The U-17s defeated the Montreal Impact, 2-1, thanks to strikes from Felipe Vieira (Malden, Mass.—2003) and Andrew Serafino (East Longmeadow, Mass.—2003). The two forwards registered their first goals of the fall campaign, while midfielder Damien Rivera (Cranston, R.I.—2002) provided his first assist of the season on Serafino’s 78^th-minute winner.
• Goalkeeper Eliot Jones (New Britain, Conn—2003) played all 90 minutes in net for the U-17s and recorded six saves in a 2-1 win.
• Forward Alex Parvu (Cumberland, R.I.—2005) scored a 61^st-minute goal, his third of the season, in the U-14s’ 1-1 draw with NEFC. Goalkeeper Brady Elmblad (Sharon, Mass—2005) played all 90 minutes in net in the draw, tallying his third appearance of the season.
• The U-13s capped off Saturday with a 4-2 victory over NEFC in Mendon, Mass., lifted by a go-ahead goal from forward Benaiah Hanson (Loudon, N.H.—2006). Hanson now has five goals in three games—an Academy high. Forward Jordi Tornberg (Revere, Mass.—2006) then scored his second goal of the season off of a Hayes Benzan (Mattapan, Mass.—2006) assist in the 64^th minute to seal the victory.
