FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution and U.S. Soccer announced today that Revolution midfielder Jermaine Jones has been ruled out of the upcoming friendlies against Netherlands and Germany after suffering a left groin injury in the first half of the Revs’ 2-2 draw with the LA Galaxy last night at Gillette Stadium. Jones, who has started each of New England’s last eight games, exited the game in 35th minute because of his injury.

Earlier on Sunday, Jones, along with Juan Agudelo, was named to the U.S. National Team roster for friendlies against Netherlands on Friday, June 5 and Germany, the nation of Jones’ birth, on Wednesday, June 10. Jones has made 50 appearances with the U.S. National Team, including two in 2015, scoring three times and adding six assists.
