The Under-16s returned to scoring form after two consecutive goalless draws, earning a 3-2 win over the Montreal Impact on Saturday. The Impact went ahead in the game’s opening minute through Don Junior Bobe, but the Revs turned the game around before halftime. First, Andrew Barrowman (Marshfield, Mass.) netted his eighth goal of the season with a low strike after receiving a cross from Justin Rennicks (South Hamilton, Mass.) to make the score 1-1 in the 13th minute before Izaiah Jennings (Barrington, R.I.) put the Revs ahead in the 21st minute. Rennicks was again the provider as the forward intercepted a stray Montreal pass and played a through ball behind the Impact defense for Jennings to run onto. The winger took a touch and beat the goalkeeper from distance for his team-leading 10th goal of the season while the assist was the seventh on the season for Rennicks, which is also a team-high. Montreal equalized five minutes into the second half when Bobe netted his second goal of the game to make the score 2-2, but the Revs would pull in front for good in the game’s final 10 minutes. Daniel Jones (West Hartford, Conn.) broke into the Montreal area and was brought down to earn a penalty. The defender stepped up to convert the resulting penalty kick to make the final score 3-2 in favor of the Revs. The U-16s now sit in third place in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy East Conference Northeast Division with a 10-4-8 record for 38 points and 1.73 points per game.

The Under-14s extended their unbeaten streak to 15 games with a 3-1 road win over Match Fit Academy FC on Sunday. After a scoreless first half, Match Fit Academy went ahead in the 45th minute through Owen Greengrove. However, Greengrove was sent off 11 minutes later after being shown his second yellow card, allowing the Revs to get back into the game. The Revs took their opportunity with the numerical advantage and tied the game up three minutes later when Tim Ennin (East Hartford, Conn.) was fouled in the Match Fit area and captain Connor Haskell (Medfield, Mass.) scored from the spot to make the score 1-1. New England kept pressuring the home side for the game-winner and it came in the 75th minute when Ennin received a backheel pass from Gustavo Cassemiro (Framingham, Mass.) on the top of the box, beat his man and hit a powerful shot past the goalkeeper. Aiden Scales (Nashua, N.H.) clinched the win in the first minute of stoppage time, firing a powerful first-time effort into the top corner from 25 yards after being set up by Nico Ferrara (Somerset, Mass.) following a short corner. The U-14s are now 18-2-2 on the season, including a 13-0-2 mark since their last loss in early November.
