FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution midfielder and MLS MVP candidate Lee Nguyen is one of five nominees for the MLS Etihad Airways Player of the Month award for September. In helping the Revs go 4-1-0 and surge into second place in the Eastern Conference, Nguyen scored three goals and added two assists in five games during the month. The team leader in goals (13) and tied for the team lead in assists (5), Nguyen is also the leading goal scorer amongst midfielders in MLS this season.

Nguyen (#MVLee) has emerged as one of the top candidates for MLS MVP this season. His seven game-winning goals lead MLS, and his 13 goals are tied for seventh in the league.
