The Revs are set to welcome back a familiar face this weekend, with Michael Parkhurst returning to the area where he began his MLS career back in 2005. The Revs had the opportunity to bring Parkhurst back to the club when he returned to MLS this off-season, but instead traded the rights to the 2007 MLS Defender of the Year for the fourth pick in the SuperDraft and allocation money. Brian O’Connell of ESPN Boston spoke to Head Coach Jay Heaps about the trade and the upcoming game against Parkhurst’s current club, the Columbus Crew.

With each loss comes more anger. That is the message coming out of the Revolution camp as they prepare to take on Columbus on Saturday night. Head over to Craig Forde’s piece on MLSSoccer.com to hear from midfielders Kelyn Rowe and Lee Nguyen, as well as Head Coach Jay Heaps on how the festering anger will help the team get back to winning ways.

The Revs’ Academy has been extremely productive in recent years, having seen both Scott Caldwell and Diego Fagundez come through the ranks and into the first team. Carl Setterlund of the Worcester Telegram looks at the nuts and bolts of the Academy, and how Under-18s Head Coach, John Frederick, arrived at his current position after previous coaching success.
