FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution (10-9-6, 36 pts.), currently riding a two-game winning streak, heads north of the border to take on Toronto FC (4-12-9, 21 pts.) at BMO Field on Friday, Aug. 30, in the third and final regular-season meeting between the two clubs.

The Revs earned a 2-0 win in the first meeting on May 25 at Gillette Stadium with goals from Diego Fagundez and Juan Agudelo, and Toronto won, 1-0, on Aug. 4, at Gillette Stadium.

Friday’s kickoff is set for 7 p.m., and Comcast SportsNet will televise the game while 98.5 The Sports Hub will carry the game on the radio.

Toronto bound
Friday’s match is the third and final regular-season meeting between New England and Toronto this season … in the first two meetings, each team earned a shutout win at Gillette Stadium … Diego Fagundez and Juan Agudelo each scored in the Revs’ 2-0 win on May 25, while Matias Laba netted the lone goal in Toronto’s 1-0 win on August 4 … Friday marks the only time the clubs will square off at BMO Field this season … the Revs are winless in six previous trips to BMO, posting a 0-2-4 record.

Revs look to reverse trend
The Revs trek north this weekend when they make their second of three trips to Canada this season … when the Revs play Toronto on Friday, they’ll be looking for just their second win on Canadian soil … including the team’s 1-0 win at Montreal on Oct. 27, 2012, the Revs are just 1-6-5 in games played in Canada against Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.

Three-for-all?
The Revs head to Toronto looking to equal their longest winning-streak of the season: three games … with back-to-back victories at home against Chicago (2-0 on Aug. 17) and Philadelphia (5-1 on Aug. 25), the Revs will look to add a third straight win on Friday … the Revs last won three straight from May 18 to June 2 with wins over Houston, Toronto and LA.

Rowe named MLS Player of the Week …
Kelyn Rowe earned MLS Player of the Week (Week 26) honors for his two-goal performance against Philadelphia on Sunday in the team’s 5-1 win … Rowe got the Revs on the board in the 26th minute with a low 24-yard shot that beat Union keeper Zac MacMath … in the 65th minute, Rowe added his second when he ripped a 30-yard, swerving shot that beat MacMath in the upper right corner.

… and up for Goal of the Week
Kelyn Rowe is one of five players who scored goals up for MLS goal of the week this week … his second goal of the team’s 5-1 win over Philadelphia joins nominees from D.C. Rowe’s impressive sophomore campaign
Kelyn Rowe recorded his second brace in MLS action this season on Sunday, pushing the second-year midfielder to five goals and six assists in 24 appearances … however, in all competitions – including three U.S. Open Cup games – Rowe has scored nine goals and added seven assists … as a rookie, Rowe recorded three goals and added five assists in 30 MLS appearances.

Young guns get it done
While the Revs’ youth movement has been well-documented this season, Sunday’s 5-1 win over Philadelphia was a prime example of the production received from the team’s youngest players … all five goals and five of the six assists were recorded by players 23 years old or younger … Diego Fagundez (18), the team’s youngest player, had one goal and two assists, while Juan Agudelo (20), scored two goals … Kelyn Rowe (21) also scored two goals, while Scott Caldlwell (22) and Dimitry Imbongo (23) had assists … Chad Barrett (28) added the other assist.

Is it even legal?
The team’s youth movement was even more evident in Sunday’s scoring … two players – who combined to score three goals – aren’t even old enough to drink alcohol yet … Diego Fagundez (18) and Juan Agudelo (20) scored three goals, while Kelyn Rowe – who turned 21 in December – added the other two goals.

Back in a playoff position
A scoring outburst and solid defensive performance on Sunday propelled the Revs back into the fifth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with nine regular-season games remaining … the Revs are tied for fifth with Houston on points (36 pts.) but own both the first (goals scored) and second (goal differential) tie breakers against the Dynamo … in the tightly-packed East, the Revs are just three points shy of second place teams New York and Sporting Kansas City (39 pts.) and five shy of first place Montreal (41 pts.).

Defense remains dominant
With another solid defensive performance on Sunday, the Revs remained the league’s top defense entering Week 27 … the Revs are first in goals against average (0.96) and are the only team with GAA under 1.00 … the club is also first in shutouts (12), first in goals allowed (24) and second in save percentage (71.9).

What lies ahead
Of the Revs’ nine remaining regular-season games, three come against teams currently sitting in a playoff spot … the Revs have two games against Eastern Conference leading Montreal (12-7-5, 41 pts.) and one against the second place New York Red Bulls (11-9-6, 39 pts.) … the Revs also have one matchup left with Houston, currently tied with the Revs on points for the fifth, and Chicago (10-10-4, 34 pts.), which sits just two points out of the fifth spot  … the other four remaining games all come against team outside of the playoff picture with matches against Columbus (twice), Toronto and D.C.

Road warriors needed
Two of the next three games come on the road for the Revs with trips to Toronto and Chicago bookending a home game against Montreal … the Revs, currently tied for the fifth best road record in MLS with a .458 winning percentage (4-5-3), need to continue their solid play away from home … the club holds the fourth best road goals against average (1.33) but have struggled to score goals, averaging just 1.08 goals per game (ranked 10th in MLS) on the road.

Agudelo hasn’t missed a beat
As the Revs playoff push heats up, so has forward Juan Agudelo … in two games since returning from a right-knee injury suffered on June 26 in U.S. Open Cup play, Agudelo has scored three goals, including the team’s last two game-winning goals … the forward now has eight goals (six as a Rev) and one assist on the season … the 20-year old made his return to the field against Chicago on August 17 and scored in the club’s 2-0 win … Agudelo scored twice on Sunday in a 5-1 rout of Philadelphia at Gillette Stadium … Sunday marked the first time Agudelo has scored multiple goals as a Rev since joining the club earlier this season.

“Rowe-ing” becoming latest trend
Not to be outdone by his teammate Juan Agudelo, Kelyn Rowe has scored three goals in his last two games as well, leading to his latest goal celebration, “Rowe-ing”… using field boards as a make-shift canoe, the midfielder – and now teammates – simulate rowing a boat after a goal is scored … Rowe now has five goals and six assists on the season

Fagundez re-fires
Diego Fagundez scored his team-leading eighth goal of the season and recorded his fifth assist – a game-winning assist – on Sunday in the team’s win over Philly … the assist was his first game-winning assist this season and the second of his career … Fagundez’s goal on Sunday was his first since July 27 in the club’s 2-1 win at D.C. United … of his eight goals, four have been game-winners.

First career assists for Imbongo
Dimitry Imbongo recorded his first two assists of his MLS career on Sunday in the club’s 5-1 win over Philadelphia … the 23-year old forward came on as a second half substitute and recorded assists in the 65th and 73rd minutes on goals by Kelyn Rowe and Juan Agudelo … Imbongo now has three goals and two assists in 12 appearances for the Revs this season.

Reis remains unbeaten
Matt Reis made his second straight start in goal for the Revs on Sunday and his fourth overall on the season … with the win, the goalkeeper improved to 3-0-1 on the season with a 0.25 goals against average … after posting shutouts in his first three starts, Reis allowed his first goal of the season on Sunday and saw his shutout streak come to an end at 347 minutes … the shutout streak dated back to September 15, 2012, in a 2-1 loss at D.C. United.
