When Jay Heaps sent Revolution subs Benny Feilhaber and Juan Toja into the game against D.C. United last Saturday, he was making a statement: "We wanted to go out guns blazing." The pair created chances, but were ultimately unable to tip the scale back into New England’s favor. For more on the match, check out Kyle McCarthy’s piece on MLSsoccer.com.
While the loss to D.C. may have mathematically eliminated the Revs from the Playoffs, the team knows it still has something to play for in its five remaining games. Rookie Kelyn Rowe summarized the sentiment as, “We’re moving forward … It’s something that no one wants to hear, no one really wants to take in. We’re definitely not going to take it in. We’re going to play for our job, play for our pride.”
Boston Globe Magazine released its annual Style edition on Sunday, and among the 2012 list of Boston’s 25 Most Stylish is the Revs’ own Lee Nguyen. Head over to Boston.com for the Most Stylish gallery, as well as an interview (sub. required) with the midfielder and two additional photos.
