FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – On Wednesday, the New England Revolution Charitable Foundation will launch an online auction at biddingforgood.com with three players’ autographed, game-worn jerseys and autographed 9/11 Memorial armbands from last Saturday’s game against FC Dallas at Gillette Stadium.

All proceeds from the online auction will be donated to the 9/11 Memorial Fund, which supports the National September 11 Memorial and Museum at the World Trade Center in New York.

The auction will launch on Wednesday, Sept. 14, and run through Wednesday, Sept. 21 at www.biddingforgood.com/revsfoundation

The three items up for bid are:

  • Matt Reis’ autographed, game-worn purple goalkeeper jersey and autographed 9/11 Memorial armband
  • Shalrie Joseph’s autographed, game-worn jersey and autographed 9/11 Memorial armband
  • Benny Feilhaber’s autographed, game-worn jersey and autographed 9/11 Memorial armband

Winning bidders will also receive a photo of the player wearing the jersey and armband from the match. Of special note, Reis wore his purple goalkeeper jersey for the first – and only – time in 2011 during Saturday’s match.

The 9/11 Memorial Fund supports the on-going development, operation and maintenance of the National September 11 Memorial (the “Reflecting Absence” memorial at Ground Zero) which was decided on Sept. 11, 2011, and the National September 11 Memorial Museum, which is scheduled to open in 2012.
