TEAM NOTES

Long-Awaited Meeting Possible?
Saturday night, the Nyassi twins – New England’s Sainey and Colorado’s Sanna – could finally face each other for the first time in the duo’s four- and three-year MLS careers … Sainey, who has been with the Revs since late 2007, has never had the opportunity to play on the field at the same time since Sanna entered the league in 2009 with Seattle … in each of the previous four occasions that Sainey and Sanna’s teams have faced each other, they have never been on the actual field at the same time … now that Sanna is with Colorado, the opportunity could come this weekend.

Last Man Standing
Zack Schilawski is the only Revs player who has appeared in all eight games this season … coming into Saturday’s game against Chivas USA, Stephen McCarthy and Schilawski had both appeared in every game, with McCarthy drawing the starting assignment in each match … however, McCarthy rested last game after playing 90+ minutes in Tuesday’s U.S. Open Cup win at D.C. United, so Schilawski – who started and played 90 minutes at Chivas USA – is now the only Revs player to see time in all eight games.

Third-string goalkeeper Tim Murray and striker Ilija Stolica have been loaned to USL PRO side FC New York on multiple-month loans … the pair could be recalled at any time by the Revs if needed … both appeared in FC New York’s 2-1 home loss to Orlando City on Saturday night.

Coaching Staff Rounded Out
Peter Fuller, a three-time NAIA coach of the year, has joined the Revs’ coaching staff as its reserve team coach … Fuller spent the last 16 seasons at the University of Mobile where he won one national title, made five final four appearances and accumulated a record of 335-127-29 … a Sudbury, Mass., native, Fuller will also assist with first-team coaching and scouting duties while coaching the reserves.
