Revs Add Experience In Dabo
The Revolution signed French midfielder Ousmane Dabo, 34, on Feb. 11 … the team is awaiting his U.S. P-1 Visa, and once he obtains his Visa, he is expected to join the team immediately … during his career the holding midfielder has played in the top leagues in France, Italy and England, including stints at Manchester City (EPL) and Lazio (Serie A) … Dabo also made three appearances for the French national team during the 2003 FIFA Confederations Cup … the veteran midfielder most recently played for Lazio from 2008-2010, making 47 appearances.

MLS Releases 2011 Schedule
The Revolution’s 2011 schedule has been released by MLS … after opening the season on the road against the LA Galaxy on March 20, the Revs kick off its 2011 home slate at Gillette Stadium against rival D.C. United on March 26 … the Revs will have one match – the team’s July 4 title at Real Salt Lake - broadcast nationally on ESPN2, while the team’s 33 other matches are scheduled to be by broadcast by Comcast SportsNet New England … a few miscellaneous schedule notes follow:

• The 2011 MLS schedule consists of 34 games per team during a 32-week stretch, with two off weekends for FIFA international dates (Sept. 3-4 and Oct. 8-9).  
• March 26 will be the only time all 18 teams are in action on the same day in 2011 … a record nine MLS games will take place that afternoon/evening.
• Four of the Revolution’s first five road trips in 2011 will take the club across the country to the Pacific time zone. 
• The Revs will face both expansion teams in the first four weeks of the season as they’ll host the Portland Timbers on April 2 and visit the Vancouver Whitecaps four days later on April 6. 
• New England’s first season series to conclude will be with the Vancouver Whitecaps, a series which closes with a May 14 meeting at Gillette Stadium.
• The longest stretch between meetings with the same team will be 168 days (approximately five-and-a-half months) between meetings with the Portland Timbers (April 2 to Sept. 16).
• The shortest stretch between meetings with the same team will be 39 days between meetings with the Vancouver Whitecaps (April 6 to May 14).
• The last team the Revolution will meet in 2011 is the Columbus Crew. The Revs won’t play the Crew until Aug. 13.
• The Revolution’s busiest months will be April and August with six regular-season games in each month.
• After playing six games in August, the Revs will play six games combined in September (3) and October (3).
• All told, the Revs will play on 21 Saturdays, six Sundays, five Wednesdays, one Monday and one Friday.

Atlanta Itinerary and Game Schedule
Following a short return to train at home, the Revs will depart for the Atlanta area on Thursday, March 3, and return to Boston late on Sunday, March 13 … the club will play three preseason matches during the trip, including two games as part of the inaugural Atlanta MLS Challenge in Kennesaw, Ga. … the first match, against the Columbus Crew, will be played on Sunday, March 6, at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga, Tenn., about a two-hour drive from Kennesaw … the teams will meet again on Wednesday, March 9, in the first game of the three-team round-robin tournament, followed by a closing match against the Houston Dynamo on Sunday, March 13. 

• Thursday, March 3: Travel to Atlanta
• Sunday, March 6: vs. Columbus Crew (Finley Stadium, Chattanooga, Tenn.), 4 p.m.
• Wednesday, March 9: vs. Columbus Crew (Kennesaw State Soccer Stadium, Kennesaw, Ga.), 7:30 p.m.
• Sunday, March 13: vs. Houston Dynamo (Kennesaw State Soccer Stadium, Kennesaw, Ga.,) 2 p.m.; Return to Boston

Travel Legs Getting Going
Including the team’s two preseason trips to Orlando (Feb. 14-24) and the Atlanta area (March 3-13), the Revs will travel approximately 28,776 miles between now and the end of May, including regular-season trips to LA (twice), Vancouver, Houston and San Jose … that will represent more than half the travel for the entire season, as the Revs will travel approximately 28,120 miles in the final five months of the campaign with flights to Dallas, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Washington to Denver to Boston, Kansas City, Philadelphia, Portland, Chicago and Toronto.

Six Revs Youth Commit to College
Four members of the New England Revolution under-18s and two players on the under-16s teams committed to collegiate soccer programs last week … three high school seniors signed National Letters of Intent, while three others verbally committed to colleges … two of the six players - Cole Denormandie and Matthew Keys - were NSCAA high school All-Americans last season.
