Alumni of the Revolution’s youth development program just wrapped up their 2010 college seasons. The most notable accomplishment from a Revs youth product came on the final day of the season, when Braintree’s Scott Caldwell scored the game-winning goal for Akron as the Zips won the NCAA Division I championship over Louisville.
Jordan Branco (2008-09)
So. – F – Southern New Hampshire University
The Penmen ended their 2010 campaign on Nov. 13 with a 1-1 draw against Franklin Pierce, and missed the postseason on penalty kick to Franklin Pierce. SNHU closed the season with a 7-3-3 record in conference and 12-3-5 overall. Branco played 18 games with four starts, scoring one goal and adding three assists.
Scott Caldwell (2008-09)
So. – M – University of Akron
The Zips won their first NCAA College Cup Final on Dec. 12, toppling the previously undefeated University of Louisville, 1-0. Caldwell scored the championship-winning goal off of a corner kick in the 79th minute, helping Akron close out its season 22-1-2. Caldwell earned 2010 College Cup All-Tournament Team honors and was also named Most Outstanding Offensive Player. For the season, he made 24 appearances (21 starts), scoring five goals and adding one assist.
Felix DeBona (2008-10)
Malaga CF (Spain)
DeBona signed an amateur contract with Malaga CF during the summer following his 2009-10 season with the Revolution Under-16 team.
James Doherty (2008-09)
Fr. – D – Boston College
Boston College Men’s Soccer closed out this season on Nov.18 at Brown in the NCAA Tournament, losing 2-1. The Eagles ended the year with a 10-5-5 record, 2-2-4 in the ACC. Doherty redshirted the season and did not make any appearances.
Chris Foley (2008-10)
Fr. – GK – Yavapai College
The Rough Riders finished their season 15-5-1 following a 4-1 loss to Pima Community College on Oct. 27. Foley made eight appearances in goal, registering 12 saves and posting a goals against average of 2.35.
Doug Hanly (2008-09)
So. – D – Fordham University
The Rams closed out their 2010 season with a 2-1 loss against Xavier on November 7. Their final record was 10-8-0 and 5-4-0 in the Atlantic 10. Hanley played eight matches for Fordham, scoring three goals.
Sawyer Kisken (2008-10)
Fr. – D/M – University of Chicago
University of Chicago Men’s Soccer closed out 2010 with an 8-8-1 record and 2-4-1 in conference. Kiskin played 17 matches, making four starts, scoring two goals and adding one assist.
Kenneth Kolbeck (2008-10)
Fr. – D – Quinnipiac University
The Bobcats took a 1-1 draw in double overtime from their last game of the season, Nov. 7 against Monmouth. They closed the year with a 4-11-2 record, 3-6-1 in conference. Kolbeck redshirted the season, and did not make any appearances as a freshman.
Cody Osgood (2008-10)
Fr. – F/M – Bentley University
The Falcons ended their 2010 season with a 1-0 loss at Franklin Pierce on Nov. 7. They had a record of 11-3-6 and 7-1-5 in conference. Osgood suited up for all 20 games and started 12, scoring three goals and adding one assist.
Evan Polanik (2008-09)
So. – GK – Holy Cross
Holy Cross Men’s Soccer played their final game of the year at Army on Nov. 6, finishing with a 0-0 draw in double overtime. Goalkeeper Polanik started all 17 matches he played for the Crusaders. He made 83 saves – the most of any Patriot League goalie – and had a goals against average of 1.50.
Ruben Resendes (2008-09)

Daniel Sangster (2008-09)
Fr. – D – University of Hartford
University of Hartford Men’s Soccer ended the season 5-10-0 and 2-5-0 in conference. The Hawks closed out the year at Vermont, where they lost, 2-0. Sangster started five matches for the Hawks and made nine appearances.
Jan Trnka-Amrhein (2008-09)
Jr. – GK – Duke University
The Blue Devils finished the season with a 1-0 loss at South Carolina in NCAA Tournament play, giving Duke a 10-6-4 record, with a 3-3-2 mark in the ACC. Goalkeeper Trnka-Amrhein made two appearances as a substitute, allowing just one goal for a goals against average of 2.49.
Chris Tsonis (2008-09)

Jonni Ventura (2008-10)

The Vikings ended their season with a 13-4-0 record. The team had its last game on Nov. 6, when they faced Monroe College, losing 3-0. Ventura played 12 games for the junior college team, and while he didn’t score any goals, he added a team-high seven assists.
Joshua Vlasich (2008-10)
Fr. – F/M – Siena State
Siena Men’s Soccer closed the 2010 season with a 7-2-0 record in conference, 10-8-1 overall. They took a 2-1 loss from their final game, Nov. 12 against Iona. Vlasich made 14 appearances, including six starts. He notched four assists for the Saints.
