Mansally, Nyassi called up to Gambia National Team

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution midfielders Kenny Mansally and Sainey Nyassi have been called up to the Gambia National Team for the squad’s African Nations Cup qualifier against Namibia on Saturday, Sept. 4, in Banjul, Gambia.


As a result of their call-ups, Mansally and Nyassi will miss both Wednesday’s SuperLiga 2010 championship match against Monarcas Morelia, and Saturday’s MLS match against Seattle Sounders FC.


Mansally, 21, has five caps with the Gambia National Team, while Nyassi, 21, has two. The last time the pair saw action with the Gambia National Team was January 2010.


The Revolution will host Morelia in the championship match of SuperLiga 2010 on Wednesday, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m. at Gillette Stadium. Telefutura will televise the game in Spanish, while 98.5 The Sports Hub will carry the game on the radio.
