Injury Report - May 25, 2010

The New England Revolution athletic training staff released the first injury report of the week this morning. With Monday and Tuesday both off for the players, only those needing treatment have been at the stadium the last two days. The team has three days of training ahead before Saturday's match against the rival Red Bulls at 8 p.m. at Gillette Stadium.

NE Injury Report - May 25, 2010

QUESTIONABLE: Edgaras Jankauskas (R hamstring strain)

DOUBTFUL: Emmanuel Osei (R leg infection), Michael Videira (L ankle Os Trigonum)

OUT: Darrius Barnes (R ankle sprain), Matt Reis (L shoulder/knee surgeries), Taylor Twellman (concussion)

Edgaras Jankauskas has been upgraded to QUESTIONABLE after training with the team full last Thursday after the Benfica match.

Also upgraded are Emmanuel Osei and Michael Videira, who have spent the last few weeks listed as OUT. Now DOUBTFUL, we will see this week how involved, if at all, the players become at training. Osei has been kept away from the team for the last few weeks while the infection in his leg began to heal, so it remains to be seen if he's been cleared to rejoin team activities or if he will continue to be held aside while his leg continues to heal. Videira has been receiving regular treatment on his ankle, as well.

Three players now remain on the OUT list. Darrius Barnes is continuing to receive treatment on his ankle, and has been limited to a walking boot for the last couple of weeks. Matt Reis intensified his training last week and with two weeks before he's eligible to come off Injured Reserve, an eye will be kept on his continued progress. Taylor Twellman has remained involved in the team's training, participating in most activities except game play. He still remains on a strict rehab program with no timetable set.
